Does Truth Matter or is it OK to have your own truth? The world today has a favourite question: Many are asking — What Is TRUTH? Pilate said to Jesus during His trial and inquisition: John 18:38 KJV [38] …… WHAT IS TRUTH? …… There are many Pilate’s in the world today still saying “What is truth?” Many ministers & laymen say the same thing today in a different way. They say: Your truth is your truth, and my truth is my truth. Or they will say — It is OK for you to believe what you want and I can believe what I want — because your truth is your truth, and my truth is my truth. In other words I will work to make your truth null in void and replace it with my truth. Or they will say:— What is truth for you is not truth for me, but we can unite on Jesus. But I would ask which Jesus? All these statements are false and are kind of saying the same thing that Pilate said to Jesus: Little do they know that this saying, and others like it, are Jesuit Sayings and teachings …… ones I learned as a Freemason. Let’s read John 18:37—38 This is what Pilate said to Jesus: John 18:37-38 KJV [37] Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice. [38] Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all. Satan is trying to get you to accept ANYTHING CALLED TRUTH. Anything except that which is truth. DO YOU GET THE DIFFERENCE? I can call this head of mine a shoe, but does that make it true? No!!! - of course not - Now ...... Can a person be saved without believing THE TRUTH? 2 Thessalonians 2:10-13 KJV [10] And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. [11] And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: [12] That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. [13] But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: [13] But we are bound to give thanks always to God for you, brothers beloved of the Lord, because God has from the beginning chosen you to salvation through SANCTIFICATION OF THE SPIRIT and BELIEF OF THE TRUTH, Verse 10 talks about: ...... those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, so that they might be saved. There will be people die because we were not diligent enough in dispersing the TRUTH and receiving the TRUTH. Verse 13 talks about: ...... God has from the beginning chosen you to SALVATION through sanctification of the Spirit AND BELIEF OF THE TRUTH. Sanctification is a very necessary ingredient in Salvation and is completely dependent on THE TRUTH. The Bible teaches there is only one TRUTH. The truth that is of God and not that of man. Now the Bible says in John 16:13: John 16:13 KJV [13] Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. The word TRUTH is singular!!! The Bible states here in John 16:13, there is only one truth, and that is the one the Spirit of Truth brings to us. HE does not bring TRUTHS but TRUTH. There are not many truths — just one truth. There is: ONE BIBLE & ONE TRUTH. Paul was very forthright on truth: Romans 9:1 KJV [1] I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost, You see that your conscience must be prepared to accept truth, and be like Paul and say, “I do not lie, my conscience also bears me witness in the Holy Spirit. This Bible is called the Word of Truth: Ephesians 1:13 MKJV [13] in whom also you, hearing the WORD OF TRUTH, the gospel of our salvation, in whom also believing, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, The Bible states — the word of truth is the Gospel of our Salvation. So according the Bible: — There is no Salvation Without the WORD of TRUTH !!! The Bible then sums it up in John 17:17 John 17:17-19 KJV [17] Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. [18] As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. [19] And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth. There is no sanctification if you do not have the word of truth. You are only Sanctified by the Spirit of Truth who brings you the Word of Truth which is the TRUE GOSPEL — Colossians 1:5 MKJV Colossians 1:5 KJV [5] For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the TRUTH OF THE GOSPEL; What do you think is laid up in heaven for you? Do you think it is the Sunday Jesus or the Sabbath Jesus? In fact Paul says unless you keep the true Gospel you worship another Jesus and NOT the true Jesus. Galatians 1:6-9 KJV [6] I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto ANOTHER GOSPEL: [7] Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. [8] But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. [9] As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. Paul is saying here that if you don’t preach what we preach to you then you PREACH ANOTHER GOSPEL. Let him who preaches such a Gospel be accursed and it doesn’t matter who it is from. So it is possible to preach another Gospel and by doing so you pervert or corrupt the Gospel of Christ. The Spirit of Prophecy says: Satan is now using every device in this SEALING TIME, to keep the minds of God's people from the present, SEALING TRUTH; and to cause them to waver. {RH, August 1, 1849 par. 7} The Bible talks about a seal in Revelation 7: Revelation 7:2 KJV [2] And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, About this seal Mrs White makes this statement: Just as soon as the people of God are sealed in their foreheads — it is not any seal or mark that can be seen, but A SETTLING INTO THE TRUTH, both intellectually and spiritually, so they cannot be moved — just as soon as God’s people are sealed and prepared for the shaking, it will come. Indeed, it has begun already; the judgments of God are now upon the land, to give us warning, that we may know what is coming. (MS 173, 1902) {4BC 1161.6} This just goes to show just how important TRUTH is …… God waits for you to settle into the truth then HE causes you to be sealed. There is something you should know about God: [2] For I AM JEALOUS over you with GODLY JEALOUSY: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. You see — God gets JEALOUS over us because HE loves us …… but it’s a GODLY jealousy …… when take up lies God get jealous because HE does not want to lose us. SO you better believe He is real keen to save you …… More than you know. 2 Corinthians 11:2—4 KJV [3] But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. [4] For if HE THAT COMETH PREACHETH ANOTHER JESUS, WHOM WE HAVE NOT PREACHED, or if ye receive ANOTHER SPIRIT, which ye have not received, or ANOTHER GOSPEL, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him. Paul tells us that any one that comes and teaches another GOSPEL that he did not preach is in effect preaching and teaching ANOTHER OR DIFFERENT JESUS. In other words: the Sunday Jesus — is not the Sabbath Jesus. …… and my JESUS keeps the 7th Day SABBATH — Which SABBATH does your JESUS keep? So — If you do not teach and preach truth you — TEACH OR PREACH ANOTHER GOSPEL — and by this you TEACH OR PREACH ANOTHER JESUS. Now Paul also taught: Romans 10:13 KJV [13] For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Which LORD do you call on? So, any one calling on the true Sabbath-Keeping Jesus which we teach — will be saved. What if someone were to call on the Sunday—Keeping Jesus? Now Paul utters the next question in verse 14: Romans 10:14 KJV [14] How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? How will they hear about the true Sabbath Keeping Jesus unless you go and tell them? You have to let them know there is a true Sabbath Keeping Jesus. Make it your business to tell them that it DOES MATTER who they worship!!!! IT DOES MATTER WHICH JESUS THEY CALL OUT TO AND PRAY TO. Let’s talk about EVE for a moment: Eve was deceived and caused this earth to fall into 6 thousand years of sin and suffering. Do you know when you are deceived? NO — of course not — otherwise you would not have been deceived. What do you think will be the end of those who are being deceived and worshiping the wrong Jesus today? Well Paul Knows the answer: Galatians 6:7 KJV [7] Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. God’s not deceived — God is not mocked — meaning, God is not fooled — only human beings are this way. GOD SAID to Israel: Deuteronomy 11:16 KJV [16] Take heed to yourselves, that your heart be not deceived, and ye turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them; You see — to worship another Jesus is to worship other God’s. Even if you are deceived. Satan knows, if he can deceive you or trick you, then he has won you, like he did with Eve. Job knew about being deceived also: Job 15:31 KJV [31] Let not him that is deceived trust in vanity: for vanity shall be his recompence. Well this is the same meaning as — Galatians 6:7 KJV [7] Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. Are you sowing deception in your heart today or are you searching for truth no matter what? There are people today sowing deception in their heart because we have not got to them yet, to share TRUTH with them. Even in Revelation we see those who worshipped the beast or the image were deceived. Their fate was to be thrown into the Lake of Fire. Revelation 19:20 KJV [20] And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. The false prophet is apostate Protestantism. Of course we know who the beast is don’t we? – THE PAPACY They were lost because for one reason or another because they did not have or LOVE THE TRUTH which means they did not know the TRUE JESUS — DECEIVED OR NOT. Does Paul warn of such things in the last days? 2 Timothy 3:1-9 KJV [1] This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. [2] For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, [3] Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, [4] Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; [5] Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. Well most people stop here at the verse …… Why stop here as we have only read around half of the prophecy so far — and the interesting bit is still to come — PAUL continues: 2 Timothy 3:1-9 MKJV [6] For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive SILLY WOMEN laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, [7] EVER LEARNING, AND NEVER ABLE TO COME TO THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH. Now we know that a WOMAN in prophecy represents a church — so WOMEN represent churches in prophecy …… and this is a prophecy — because in verse one it starts with …… IN THE LAST DAYS …… and since Timothy wrote this nearly 2,000 years ago it would definitely be a prophecy. If it is a prophecy we must invoke the RULES OF PROPHECY: — WHICH MEANS SYMBOLS MUST ALWAYS HAVE THE SAME MEANING …… A woman in prophecy is a CHURCH …… a good woman a good church …… a bad woman a bad church — and we need to stick to the rules in all prophecies at all times. REPEAT …… And SILLY WOMEN — can also be translated - GULLIBLE WOMEN …… means CHURCHES that do not have TRUTH …… So, PAUL says there will be SILLY CHURCHES or GULLIBLE CHURCHES [WOMEN] around in the last days of earth’s history — meaning today there will a lot of churches preaching and teaching anything but truth. And we know these churches don’t have truth because Paul says they are: LOADED WITH SINS …… even led away with different kinds of lusts or sins. Then he says they are: EVER LEARNING and never able to come to the full knowledge of the truth. This let’s me know that I have to be very careful. It let’s me know we are in the last days and there are a lot of churches to be very wary of. It’s terrible to think that these SILLY CHURCHES are EVER LEARNING and never able to come to the full knowledge of the truth. This is very alarming — and PAUL describes what they are like in the next verse 8: 2 Timothy 3:1-9 KJV [8] Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. Jannes and Jambres were those evil sun worshiping priests that opposed Moses …… But Moses rod/serpent was taken up and thrown down again and consumed those others serpents …… When Moses turned his rod into a serpent so they turned their rods into the appearance of serpents also. Here PAUL likens the last day churches and the ministers to these evil sun worshiping priests. PAUL said these last day churches and the ministers ALSO RESIST THE TRUTH. Now Paul continues: 2 Timothy 3:1-9 KJV [9] But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was. Well I am glad it finished with that — This all fits together that there will be churches in these last days leading people away from God. Leading them to worship another Jesus. How important is the truth to us? Jesus said: John 4:23-24 KJV [23] But the hour cometh, and now is, when the TRUE WORSHIPPERS shall WORSHIP THE FATHER IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH: for THE FATHER SEEKETH SUCH TO WORSHIP HIM. [24] God is a Spirit: and THEY THAT WORSHIP HIM MUST WORSHIP HIM IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH. What must the people of God do? They MUST do something — They “MUST” “WORSHIP GOD IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH” If I said to you: “There is a fire in the building and you MUST leave the building!!!” The word “MUST” here is a do or die word. Just as it is the same when Jesus said: “THEY WHO WORSHIP HIM MUST WORSHIP IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH.” During this presentation I asked a question: — Can a person be saved without believing truth? I quoted: 2 Thessalonians 2:13 KJV [13] But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through SANCTIFICATION OF THE SPIRIT AND BELIEF OF THE TRUTH: When you put John 4:24 together with 2 Thessalonians 2:13 we have a powerful thought as to how we should worship God. 2 Thessalonians 2:13 KJV [13] ...... God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through SANCTIFICATION OF THE SPIRIT AND BELIEF OF THE TRUTH: John 4:24 KJV [24] ...... THEY WHO WORSHIP HIM MUST WORSHIP IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH. Then we get to understand what John 17:17 means more clearly: John 17:17 KJV [17] Sanctify them through Your truth. Your Word is truth. Listen to what the prophet told us in {RH, July 7, 1891 par. 15} O that men could understand that long years of custom and tradition do not convert error into truth! Salvation is for all who believe, and there is no respect of persons or nations with God. The truth must be made to appear before men, whether they will hear or whether they will forbear. We must preach Christ and him crucified, and RETURN TO THE OLD PATHS, and lead others in the good way. {RH, July 7, 1891 par. 15} Now that we fully understand that SALVATION is only by truth I want to bring your attention to what God’s Messenger recorded about truth and error. {FLB 336.7-8} — As the storm approaches, a large class who have professed faith in the third angel's message, but have not been sanctified through obedience to the truth, abandon their position, and join the ranks of the opposition. By uniting with the world and partaking of its spirit, they have come to view matters in nearly the same light; and when the test is brought, they are prepared to choose the easy, popular side. Men of talent and pleasing address, who once rejoiced in the truth, employ their powers to deceive and mislead souls. They become the most bitter enemies of their former brethren. We are in the shaking time, the time when everything that can be shaken will be shaken. The Lord will not excuse those who know the truth if they do not in word and deed obey His commands. {FLB 336.7-8} In another place the Author wrote: Soon God's people will be tested by fiery trials, and the great proportion of those who now appear to be genuine and true will prove to be base metal. . . . {LDE 180.3} The trials have begun — but who will stand. When the religion of Christ is most held in contempt, when His law is most despised, then should our zeal be the warmest and our courage and firmness the most unflinching. To stand in defence of truth and righteousness when the majority forsake us, to fight the battles of the Lord when champions are few — THIS WILL BE OUR TEST. At this time WE MUST GATHER WARMTH FROM THE COLDNESS OF OTHERS, COURAGE FROM THEIR COWARDICE, AND LOYALTY FROM THEIR TREASON. —5T 136 (1882). {LDE 180.4} Now listen to this very solemn and sound advice from Mrs White: I was shown the necessity of those who believe that we are having the last message of mercy, BEING SEPARATE from those who are daily IMBIBING NEW ERRORS. I SAW THAT NEITHER YOUNG NOR OLD SHOULD ATTEND THEIR MEETINGS; for it is wrong to thus encourage them while they teach error that is a deadly poison to the soul and teach for doctrines the commandments of men. {EW 124-125} Now we are told why we should not listen to error: The influence of such gatherings is not good. If God has delivered us from such darkness and error, we should stand fast in the liberty wherewith He has set us free and rejoice in the truth. {EW 124-125} Notice this emphasis …… …… God is displeased with us when we go to listen to error, without being obliged to go; for unless He sends us to those meetings where error is forced home to the people by the power of the will, HE WILL NOT KEEP US. Now please watch this next point — its important: …… THE ANGELS CEASE THEIR WATCHFUL CARE OVER US, AND WE ARE LEFT TO THE BUFFETINGS OF THE ENEMY, to be darkened and weakened by him and the power of his evil angels; and the light around us becomes contaminated with the darkness. {EW 124-125} I pray that from here on you will all not only want truth …… and will not listen to error or attend meetings where error is being preached. And now for my favourite most inspiring quote from Jesus: Jesus raised his mighty glorious arm, laid hold of the gate and swung it back on its golden hinges, and said to us, You have washed your robes in my blood, STOOD STIFLY FOR MY TRUTH, enter in. [Isaiah 26:2.] {WLF 1847 14.3} I pray you will think hard on this as you contemplate the importance of TRUTH. Will you yearn after TRUTH?
