HOW WILL GOD WORK TO FINISH HIS WORK?
“Let me tell you that the Lord will work in this last work in a manner very much out of the common order of things, and in a way that will be contrary to any human planning . . . . God will use ways and means by which it will be seen that He is taking the reins in His own hands. Large numbers will be admitted who in these last days hear the truth for the first time.” Review and Herald, July 5, 1906.
WHAT MUST HAPPEN TO THEM?
“I saw that those who of late have embraced the truth would have to know what it is to suffer for Christ’s sake, that they would have trials to pass through that would be keen and cutting, in order that they may be purified and fitted through suffering to receive the seal of the living God, pass through the time of trouble, see the King in His beauty, and dwell in the presence of God and of pure, holy angels.” Early Writings, p. 67.
WHEN DOES THE TIME OF TROUBLE BEGIN?
“When He [Christ] leaves the sanctuary, darkness covers the inhabitants of the earth. In that fearful time the righteous must live in the sight of a holy God without an intercessor. Satan will then plunge the inhabitants of the earth into one great, final trouble.” The Great Controversy, p. 614.
WHAT DOES THE TIME OF TROUBLE DO?
“The time of trouble is the crucible that is to bring out Christlike characters. It is designed to lead the people of God to renounce Satan and his temptations. WHEN WILL GOD’S PEOPLE FLEE FOR PROTECTION?
“As the decree issued by the various rulers of Christendom against commandment keepers shall withdraw the protection of government and abandon them to those who desire their destruction, the people of God will flee from the cities and villages and associate together in companies, dwelling in the most desolate and solitary places.” The Great Controversy, p. 626.

HOW DOES SATAN FEEL WHEN HE SEES CHRIST?
